Our story

Puzzles that are always new, always solvable, and open to everyone

Hi, I’m Steven. I’m neurodivergent, and puzzles have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love working through them and discovering new kinds.

Over the years I’ve bought a lot of puzzle books, and I kept running into the same problems: puzzles repeated from one book to the next, puzzles that couldn’t actually be solved, and “easy” puzzles that were anything but.

Then my grandfather was diagnosed with dementia. I wanted to help in any way I could, and puzzles felt like a place to start: they keep the mind active, and working on them together is time well spent.

So I built PuzzleGames.ai around three promises.

Never the same puzzle twice

Your account remembers every puzzle you’ve played, so each one is new to you. Research suggests that new, challenging mental activities do more for an aging mind than familiar, routine ones.

Every puzzle works

Each puzzle is checked by a solver before you see it, so it always has an answer and matches its difficulty level.

Anyone can learn

Every puzzle type has a step-by-step tutorial and a coach you can ask questions, so you can go from your first try to mastering it.

Happy puzzling!
— Steven

PuzzleGames.ai is for fun and mental exercise. It is not a medical treatment and is not meant to prevent, treat or cure dementia or any other condition. Research on puzzles and brain health is still developing; see this study on learning new skills and this trial of crossword puzzles.
